Since posting my review of the ACAMS Certified Global Sanctions Specialist (CGSS) certification I’ve had a number of emails from individuals with follow up questions.

I’ve created this FAQ in response.

“Can you send me a PDF copy of the Study Guide?”

No. The Study Guide is a copyrighted document and ACAMS expressly forbid sharing the PDF with others.

“How do the Exam Questions compare to the questions at the back of the study guide?”

The exam questions were much more difficult that the exam questions in the back of the study guide. I think even the study guide states this and that the practice questions are not reflective of the actual exam.

Personally, I found the questions in the CGSS exam to be comparable with those in the CAMS exam.

Is reading the Study Guide enough"?”

I found the Study Guide and the additional readings listed in the Study Guide to be enough. I didn’t purchase the flash cards or the virtual classroom.

Anything that is asked in the exam should be referenced in the Study Guide or the additional readings listed in the Study Guide. There should be no trick questions.
